Prodigal Mennonite: Farmhouse Installation

An abandoned farmhouse will be turned into art installations, including an audio and visual room by yours truly.

My part : This installation talks about time and its effect on the prevalent noise in relationships. In juxtaposing the images of a long past wedding with the sounds of a contemporary wedding reception overlayed with building feedback noise, I want to show how relationships build, gather, accumulate. How volume drowns conversation. How, eventually, the noise is more noticeable than the conversation.

Capture Spontaneous Moments – Installation

Kvik was part of John Brennan’s Capture Spontaneous Moments installation on April 30 2011. The installation consisted of performers improvising together in a room and attendees creating loops out of the music being played or making their own mix of the music. I was honored to play with the following performers:
